Celebrating the unsung care heroes across the East Midlands
Health Innovation East Midlands announced the winners of the 2024 Care Awards during March. The winners, across six categories, were shining examples of care provided in Care Homes and in people’s homes across the region.
Winners were:
- Care Home Support Team of the Year sponsored by the University of Nottingham Pharmacy School

- Award Winner: Forget Me Not Team – Ashfields Care Home (Derbyshire)
- Home Care Carer of the Year sponsored by Skills for Care
- Highly Commended: Beth Hart – Home Instead West Leicestershire & Market Bosworth
- Highly Commended: Emma Wright – Caremark Northampton
- Award Winner: Shilpa Jobanputra - Home Instead West Leicestershire & Market Bosworth

- Highly Commended: Rebecca Bryan – Red Roofs Care Home (Nottinghamshire)

Health Innovation East Midlands Chair, Martin Hindle said: “It was an honour to present the awards and meet the winners who deliver such valuable care every day to people across the region.”
Health Innovation East Midlands has worked with care teams for the last few years to deliver training on detecting deterioration early in residents and care recipients to avoid unnecessary hospital admissions.
